DANVILLE: Rosemarie Frances Taylor, 83 of Danville passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014 at North Logan Health Center in Danville. Born March 9, 1931 in Charleroi, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of Lewis and Hilda (Pelzer) Coker. She married Willard Eugene Taylor on December 19, 1952 in Bridgeton, Indiana. He preceded her in death. Rosemarie was a seamstress for many years. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile. Rosemarie loved solving crosswords and reading. She also loved dancing with her husband. Rosemarie is survived by one daughter, Sandra Turner of Danville; one son, Kindel (Faye) Taylor of Prineville, Oregon; two brothers, James Mitchell of North Carolina, and Harry Mitchell of Morris, Illinois; one sister, Mary Ellen Carroll of Morris, Illinois; six grandchildren, Kindra Anderson of Clinton, Indiana, Eric (Tracy) Turner of Danville, Chad (Kim) Turner of Belton, Texas, Scott Turner of Bloomington, Illinois, Rachel (Corey) Meyer of Sequim, Washington and Joseph (Bonnie) Rice of Redmond, Oregon; and fourteen great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Rosemarie was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Eugenia Coker and Hilda Sutton; and one brother, William Coker. A service to celebrate Rosemaries life will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 14th at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Highland Lawn Cemetery in Terre Haute, Indiana. A memorial has been established for Vermilion County Animal Shelter.
