Rosella 'Joan' Rogers

Rosella "Joan" Rogers, 85, of Attica, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Autumn Trace, Attica, IN. She was born on March 24, 1933, in Covington, IN, the daughter of Anton and Opal (Cunningham) Gose. She was united in marriage to Morris D. Rogers on December 2, 1951, he preceded her in death 2005.

She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Marsha Phipps, Marla (David) Rogers-Colbert and Marlea (Brad) Crain; one son, Michael (Aubrey) Rogers. Joan is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by parents, four brothers and three sisters.

Joan was a proud member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in Newtown, IN. She was an excellent piano player and seamstress. She was an avid race fan and loved watching IU and the Cubs.

A Celebration of Joans life will be held at 7:00pm on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Covington, Indiana 420 3rd St. Covington, Indiana 47932. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Danville National Cemetery on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 2:00pm Indiana time.
