Roseanna Black

Roseanna Black, age 73, of Oakwood, went to be with the Lord at 6:50 pm on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at her residence. She was born June 18, 1935 the daughter of Jim and Rosie (Hunt) Makemson. Roseanna married Herbert Black on June 10, 1952. He survives. Roseanna is also survived by her son: Greg (Vickie) Black; her daughter Lavonna Sue Black; two brothers: Leroy (Ginger) Makemson, Raymond (Fernie) Makemson; two grandsons: Greg Black Jr., Aaron (Carrie) Elliott; two granddaughters: Jennifer Black, Jessica (Nolan) Dyson; four great grandchildren: Makaylah Watson, Jadyn Black, Cameron Black, and Jordyn Dyson. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son: Mark, one bother, two sisters, and two grandsons. Mom loved her Lord and pointed the way for us to follow. She was the brightest star in this family, who gave of herself so willingly. Until we meet again Mama we love you so very much. A celebration of the life of Roseanna Black will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Sunsets Oakwood Chapel with Penny Moisson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Danville National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 am to 12 pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at the Oakwood Chapel.
