Rose Zielinski

GEORGETOWN - Rose (Durante) Zielinski, 85, of Georgetown, passed away at 6:55pm, Friday, September 10th, 2004, at the Pleasant Meadows Nursing Home in Chrisman where she was a residence since 1996. She was born on March 19th, 1919, in El Paso, TX, the daughter of Jose Durante and Delfina (Avalos) Durante. After her mother's death due to child birth and her father passing away when Rose was only 2 years old, she spent her youth in Denver, CO, where she met her future husband, Raymond F. Zielinski. They were united in marriage on August 9th, 1941, in Westville, IL. He preceded her in death in November of 1975. Rose was a beloved housewife but never started a family and will be missed by her several nieces and nephews and her special friend and guardian, Barbara (Jesse) Passman. Rose was a faithful member of St. Isaac's Jogues Parish in Georgetown where she was a choir member as well as a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.
