Rose Marie Kuizinas

Urbana - Rose Marie Kuizinas, 90, passed away on Monday February 6, 2017 at Bement Health Care Center in Bement, IL. She was born on November 30, 1926 in Decatur, IL to Tiny and Frieda (Schultz) Risley. Rose married Edward Kuizinas on November 29, 1947 in Decatur. Rose is survived by her children Elizabeth (James) Meister of Bellevue, NE, Mary Ann Baylor of Urbana, IL, Patty (Gene) Eastin of Urbana, IL, Michael (Rebecca) Kuizinas of Decatur, IL, and Nancy (John) Mowat of Memphis, TN; grandchildren Donna, Jason, Stephen, Angelic, Adrianne, Joshua, Christopher, Anthony, Thomas, Andrew, and Daniel; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; brothers Thomas (Cheryl) Risley and William (Marianne) Risley; and sister Ruth Hill. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; children Marie Johnson, Diane West, Mark Kuizinas, Barbara Kuizinas, and Raymond Kuizinas; brothers Robert Risley and Donald Risley; and sisters Rita Weatherford, Mary Risley, and Dorothy Elam. Rose loved spending times outdoors and in her garden. She was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to music. Rose loved animals and doting on her grandchildren. A celebration of Rose's life will be held at 12pm on Friday February 10, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home, 710 N. Neil St. Champaign, IL 61820. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10am-12pm. Cremation rites have been accorded through Sunset Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made in Rose's name to the Alzheimer's Association or to the organization of the donor's choice.
