Rose Ethel Bennett

Rose Ethel Bennett, 94, of Danville, passed away at 4:15pm Wednesday July 20, 2016. Rose was born in in Terre Haute, Indiana on November 28, 1921 the daughter of Jim and Leta (Lewis) Arnold. On April 22, 1945 Rose married Floyd Bennett and they spent the next 41 years together before his passing. Rose then married James Taylor, he precedes her in death. Rose is survived by her son, Robert (Glenda) Bennett; one daughter Sharon (Bill) Hooks; one step-daughter, Loretta (Jack) Harper; a great friend, Nadeen Miller and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren. Rose is preceded in death by her parents; husbands; one son, Fred (Judy) Bennett; one daughter, Tammy Lowe; one brother, James (Ramona) Arnold; one sister, Ruby Davis; one step-daughter, Sharon (Dean) Gallesie and one step-son Larry (Marrianna) Taylor. Rose enjoyed going to church, talking to people, spending time with her cats and good fellowship around a meal. In her later years she could be found watching the young and the restless or working on her word search puzzles. Rose always had a smile and twinkle in her eye. She will be deeply missed by everyone she came in contact with. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11Am on Tuesday July 26, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Officiating will be pastor David Leary. Entombment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park following the service. Visitation will be held prior to service from 10am to 11am at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Grape Creek Baptist Church.
