Rose Ann Borges

Rose Ann {Kovack} Borges, 88, of Westville, IL, passed away at 10:46pm, Saturday, January 9, 2010, at her nieces home in Westville. She was born on July 3, 1921, in Catlin, IL, the daughter of Anton and Rose (Thomas) Kovack, both deceased. She was united in marriage to Carl Borges on May 28, 1949, in Chicago, IL, until his passing on February 18, 1975. Survivors include: her nieces & nephews, Sharon (Jim) Hart of Clovis, NM, Jackie Wallace of Danville, Pam Dalbey of Westville, Tina (Mark) Cravens of Georgetown, Kathleen (Jim) Ahrens of Montana, David (Debbie) Kovack of California, Virginia Kovack of Missouri, & Bill Kovack of Georgia; as well as many great nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by: her brother, Tony Kovack; her sister, Frances Wallace; and her nephew, Tony Kovack Jr. Rose had lived in Chicago for 20 years where she worked and then retired from Helene Curtis Company. She then moved back to Westville to be closer to family and friends. She was a member of St. Marys Church. She enjoyed watching soap operas. She was a fan of Chicago White Sox and enjoyed watching Illini basketball and football games. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am, January 13, 2010, at St. Marys Church, 231 N State St, Westville, with Father Timothy Sauppe officiating. Visitation will be held from 9am to 10:30am before the service at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State St, Westville. She will be laid to res in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
