Rosalie Todd

Rosalie Ann Todd 85, of Danville, Illinois, formerly of Ludlow, IL, passed away at 5:43 pm Thursday (March 31, 2011) at the Hawthorne Inn in Danville, IL. She had been in ill health for the past two years. A native of Danville, IL, Rosalie also lived in Rantoul, IL and Ludlow, IL until moving back to Danville in August 2010 where she was a Liberty Estates resident. She was born on May 12, 1925 in Danville, IL and was the daughter of Joseph and Estella McFadden. She was married on March 14, 1942 to Charles Edgar Todd, also a native of Danville, IL, who preceded her in death April 9, 1986. Rosalie graduated from Danville Beauty School and was the owner of Fashion Style Beauty Salon in Danville, IL for 23 years. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spent a lot of time with them. She loved playing cards, bingo, sewing and socializing. She loved life. Survivors include two daughters Mrs. Miriam Diane (Jack) Kamin, Spirit Lake East, ID and Mrs. Sharon Rose (Wayne) Tennyson, Elk Grove, CA. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Betty (John) Ludlow, Sanford, FL; Irene Werning, San Antonio, TX; Beverly (Bill) Thompson, Hendersville, NC;one brother Joseph (Alice) McFadden, Danville, IL and five grandchildren, Jack Kamin, Denver, CO; Kathy Kamin, Denver, CO; Karen Tennyson, Apopka, FL; Lisa (Eric) Rhodes, Catlin, IL and Michelle (Jon) Busby, Catlin, IL. Great grandchildren include Ryan (Ashley) Kamin, Devon Kamin and Kellie (Brandon) Ast;Meghan Babb, Todd and Jori Rhodes, Nichole and Haley Busby. Great-great grandchildren include Gunnar and Caleb Ast . The memorial service will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Chapel where the visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, from 4-8 pm. Services will be at 2 pm Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Pastor William Hummer will officiate with burial in Sunset Memorial Park.
