Danville- Rosalie Ruth Kinney, 82, of Danville passed away at 8:30 AM on November 10, 2013 at the Hawthorne Inn of Danville. She was born on January 4, 1931 in Danville to Leroy and Esther Leverich Gladden. She married Walter Lloyd Kinney on April 26, 1952. He preceded her in death in May, 2002. She will be missed by a son Bruce (Cathy) Kinney of Danville; two granddaughters, Carrie (Mike) Siems of St. Joseph and Amy (Troy) Wasson of Danville; and seven great-grandchildren, Taylyn, Ryker, Garrett, Tanner, Ariel, Fawna, and Devan. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and an adopted sister, Mable East. Rosalie may be remembered by many as a clerk at the Danville Polyclinic from where she retired after 43 years of service. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting and cross stitch, reading, and staying active with the Red Hats and TOPS. She was an animal lover, but was especially proud of her dog and special companion, Annie. Rosalie was also a long time member of Farmers Chapel Church in Danville where she played the piano and organ. A service to celebrate the life of Rosalie Kinney will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Burial will follow at Walnut Corner Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, November 13, also at Sunset in Danville. Memorials may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.
