Ronnie Turner

Ronnie G. Turner, age 57, of Danville, passed away at 1:25 am on Thursday, December 21, 2006 at Provena USMC. He was born December 5, 1949 in Terre Haute, IN the son of Ralph Eugene and Joan Iva (Sweitzer) Turner. He married Sandra Taylor on September 22, 1972 in Terre Haute. She survives. Ronnie is also survived by three sons: Eric (Tracy) Turner of Danville, Chad (Merinda) Turner of Danville, Scott Turner of Bloomington, IL; his mother: Joan; one brother: Danny Turner of Marshall, IL; one sister: Terri Turner of Terre Haute, IN; and four grandchildren: Maddison, Hannah, Alex, and Garrett. He was preceded in death by his father. Ronnie worked for 34 years as a Recreation Therapist at the VA Illiana Health care system. He was an avid Illini, Cubs, and Bears fan that enjoyed running his fantasy football and baseball teams. Ron loved spending time with his family especially his four grandchildren. He was a devote father and loving husband. He was a member of the Ridgeview Baptist Church of Danville. Ron and Sandra were inseparable and was each others best friend.
