Ronnie Lindsey

Ronnie Lee Lindsey, 74, of Mahomet, Illinois, passed away on February 3, 2024, in Mahomet. He was born on February 24, 1949, in Mahomet. Ronnie was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Ronnie leaves behind his wife of 12 years, Janet Lindsey; two daughters, Kim (Wayne) Hosford of Champaign, and Brittany (Josh) Campbell of Mahomet; two sons, Mike (Michelle) Grindley and Nicholas (Valerie) Grindley, both of Mahomet; grandchildren, Nycholas, Autumn, Savannah, Colton, Kaylynn, Iris, Madelyn, Emerson, Cora, and Hudson and great-grandchildren Avree, Preston, Elliot and Sebastian.

Ronnie was a kind and loving man with a wonderful sense of humor. He cherished his wife, children, and grandchildren beyond measure. He was passionate about fishing and was an avid angler. He enjoyed making fishing lures and often gifted them to others. His collection of fishing poles, tackle, and related equipment could rival that of a small bait and tackle shop. In recent years, Ronnie also joined a bowling league, adding another enjoyable hobby to his repertoire.

Ronnie dedicated 42 years of his life to the Canadian National Railroad, working as a clerk. During his career, he was stationed in various locations throughout Illinois.

Ronnie was a graduate of Mahomet-Seymour High School.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, to be determined. This special gathering will include fishing, grilling out, and enjoying the lake, three of Ronnies favorite activities.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that charitable donations be made to the charity of your choice in Ronnies name.

Ronnie Lee Lindsey is deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory lives on forever in the hearts of those he touched.
