Ronald Young

Ronald D. Young passed away peacefully in his home on November 22, 2024.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Barbara (Loy) Young, daughters, Pamela Fowler, Mendy (Bob) Arnold, Barbara (Terry) Reece, and Veronica (Pete) Lenzini, sister-in-law, Linda Young, ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and several step-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, Jim Fowler, and brother, Russell Young.

Ronald worked for the Illinois Department of Transportation for 25 years. He enjoyed throwing horseshoes, watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sporting events, and playing bridge.

He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.

A short committal service will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 1102 Churchill Rd. Mahomet, IL. 61853 on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 11am.
