Ronald Wayne Tellier

Ronald Wayne Tellier, of Covington and formerly of Danville, Illinois and Clearwater, Florida passed away at 2:15 pm on Friday, July 15, 2022, in Covington, Indiana. He was born on September 14, 1934, in Danville, Illinois, the son of the late Clement Eli and Grace Evelyn (Richardson) Tellier. Ronald married Barbara Ellen Hoover on March 13, 1955, in Danville, Illinois. She preceded him in death on August 12, 2018. Survivors include: his children, Doug (Linda) Tellier of Cypress, Texas and Vicki Jones of Covington, Indiana; three grandchildren, Wendy (Andrew) Torres, Nicholas Tellier and Dustin Jones; five great grandchildren, Logan, Jayden, Josie, Emmy Grace, and Lincoln; one sister, Norma Alice Hawkins of Danville, Illinois; two brothers, Larry (Anne) Tellier of Palm Harbor Florida and Dan (Terri) Tellier of Largo, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Ronald was preceded in death by his three brothers, Alan, Bob, and Dwight Tellier. Ronald was a former truck driver for many companies in the Danville area. He also formerly worked at ESCO for 15 years and last worked at Hyster, retiring in 2000. He was a United States Army Veteran. Ronald was a member of the First Assembly of God in Covington and Hillery. He enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, gardening, NASCAR, and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. A celebration of Ronalds life will be held at 11:00am (IL Time) 12:00pm (IN Time) on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Hillery Assembly of God, 19454 Henning Rd, Danville, IL 61834. Officiating will be Pastor Kenny Young and Pastor Bob Fairchild. Visitation will be held at the Church from 9:00am to 11:00am (IL Time) 10:00am to 12:00pm (IN Time) prior to the service. He will be laid to rest in Allhands Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in his honor to Hillery Assembly of God in Danville, IL, or First Assembly of God in Covington.
