Ronald Ronnie W. Strebing, 70, of Danville, passed away at 1:35 p.m. Wednesday September 21, 2005 at his home, with his loving family and dear friends at his side. Ron was born on July 25, 1935 in Danville, the son of Herman O. and Fern Middlemas Strebing. He married Sondra Sandy Laird on July 6, 1956 in Danville. She preceded him in death on January 30, 2004, after 47 years of marriage. He will be sadly missed by his three sons- Rick (Fran) Strebing of Bloomington, Illinois, Rock (Kelly) Strebing of Westville, and Rodney (Dorene) Strebing of Danville; one sister- Evelyn Allen of Danville; three sisters-in-law-Sally Kittel,Cathy (Jack) Seymour of Danville and Bert Strebing of Westville, seven grandchildren- Melissa Strebing, Ryan Strebing, Corey Strebing, Kyle Strebing, Devan Strebing, Ashtan Strebing, Abbie Strebing; one very special niece- Cindy (Joe) Wakeland; and many other loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers- Bill and Floyd, and one sister Betty. Ron was retired from Tee-Pak and he cherished his many friendships that he made in his 37 years of service. He greatly enjoyed his trips to Florida with his friends and family. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching his grandkids in their sporting events. He especially enjoyed playing golf with his three boys and close friends. Ronnie was at peace in his last days with many visits from his family and friends and his dog Brandy at his side. Our heartfelt thanks and appreciation goes out to the Carle Hospice Program for all of their help.
