Danville - Ronald “Runt” Dillion, 51, joined his family and friends in Heaven onJanuary 17, 2015 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Ronald was born the son of Leroy and Thelma Dillion on May 30, 1963 in Danville, Illinois. Ronald married his sweetheart Lenora Shunk on August 19, 1985. The two enjoyed 29 years of wonderful family and married life together. Ronald is survived by his wife Lenora Dillion of Danville; his children Virginia Shunk of Danville, Angela (Rick) Duprey of Danville, Brittany (Arron Whorrall) Dillion of Danville, and Trilma Dillion of Danville; his siblings James (Kathy) Dillion, Ethel (David) Barnes, Jerry (Kelly) Dillon, Luella (Stanley) Cramer, Ira (Lauri) Dillion, Monica (Eddie) Andrews; his grandchildren Morgan Duprey, Marissa Duprey, Samuel Duprey, Soshia Dillion, Natalie Whorrall, Lily Whorrall, and baby Whorrall on the way; father-in-laws John Shunk and Lyndol Potter; sister-in-laws Dorothy and Kathy Dillion; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Ronald is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, parents Leroy and Thelma, siblings Gid Isom Dillion, Junior Dillion, Jewel (Dale) Acree, Mavis Winters, Joe Dillon, Lester Dillion, Delmar Dillion, mother-in-law Anna Potter, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Ronald was a great outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, boating, gardening, and mushroom hunting. He loved cooking holiday meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Summertime family birthdays were his favorite time. He would cook out on the grill for his family gatherings; it was one of his favorite things to do. Ronald was a family man who enjoyed quality time with his family and friends, he will be greatly missed by many. Funeral arrangements for Ronald Lee Dillion are under the care of Sunset Funeral Home, and Cremation Center, a life celebration home in Danville. There will be no official services per his wishes. There will be a Memorial Dinner in celebration of Runts life on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 2 p.m. The Community Church of God (535 S. Bowman, Danville, IL).
