Ronald "Ron" L. Mariage

Chrisman, Ill. - Ronald "Ron" L. Mariage, 77, formerly of Vermilion Grove and a resident of Pleasant Meadows Christian Village, passed away at 3:40 p.m. CDT Monday, July 6, 2015 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville, Illinois. Ron was born December 21, 1937 in Humrick, Illinois, the son of the late Anthony and Alma Fauniel VanDuyn Mariage. Survivors include his children, Micki Borum of Terre Haute, Indiana; Angela Cole of Georgetown, Illinois; Courtney Ray Cole of Michigan; Maria Mariage of Kankakee, Illinois; Georgianna Lewallen of Springfield, Missouri and Warren Lee(Nancy)Mariage of Vermilion Grove, Illinois; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ron was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brandy Pruitt and one sister, Bonnie JoAnne Harvey. Ron worked for the Commercial News and Miller's News Agency as a newspaper carrier, retiring in 2004. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Ron enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles and watching Chicago Bears football. Funeral services: 1 p.m. (Indiana Time), Thursday, July 9, 2015 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Keith Warner; Burial: Danville National Cemetery in Danville, Illinois with military honors by the Cayuga American Legion Post #263; Visitation: 11 a.m. (Indiana Time) until time of services on Thursday, July 9, 2015.
