Ronald Ron Paul Dysart, 64, of Danville, passed away at 12:40 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2009 at VA Illiana Healthcare Systems in Danville. Ron was born on May 21, 1945 in Lincolnton, North Carolina, the son of Paul and Armelia (Brackett) Dysart. He married Karen Marie Rutan on July 26, 1983 in Danville. She survives. He is also survived by two sons- Ronald (Chris) Dysart Jr. of Urbana and Robert (Jeanne) Rutan II of Springfield, Illinois; one daughter- Denise (Mike) Bingamon of Urbana; three grandchildren- Christopher, who is currently serving in the United States Marines in Okinawa, Japan, Autumn and Alexandria; one brother- Donald (Pat) Dysart of Charlotte, North Carolina; one sister- Maxine Burnett of South Carolina; special friends- Spanky, Bob Beck, Dan Terrell and way too many others to mention; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Ron worked at the Danville Country Club for over 20 years as grounds maintenance and a mechanic. He was a Southern Baptist by faith and an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He also loved gardening and spending time with his grandchildren and friends. Ron was always there anytime you ever needed anything. He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. Military rites will be conducted at the funeral home at 6:00 p.m. Monday. Per Rons wishes he will be cremated. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or to the VA Illiana Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
