Penfield, Ill. - Ronald Lee Finley, 68, of Penfield, passed away at 2 a.m. CDT Saturday, April 2, 2011 at his residence. He was born March 18, 1943 in North Tonawanda, New York, the son of the late Charles Frederick and Ruth Frances Redemske Finley. He first married Barbara Ann Sekera. He later married Donna Hall on November 28, 1997 in Danville, Illinois. She survives. Other survivors include his children, Cheryl(Timothy)Cantlon and Todd Michael Finley both of New York; Kathy Finley of St. Joseph, Illinois; step daughter, Angela(Mario)Panic of Germany; step son, Robert Tranchant of Maryland; five grandchildren, McKenzie Ann Cantlon; Shannon Lea Cantlon; Matthew Panic; Julian Panic and Isabella Panic; sister, Nancy(Russell)Gullo of New York; uncle, William Redemske of New York. He was preceded in death by his step father, George Hammond. Ronald retired as a supervisor for General Motors. He was a member of the Gifford Lions Club. Ronald enjoyed woodworking, gardening and caring for his beloved animals on the Finley Farm. Ron will be sadly missed by all that knew him and by his beloved animals. Funeral services: 3 p.m. (Indiana Time) Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Dr. Andy Spencer; Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery in Danville, Illinois; Visitation: 1 p.m. (Indiana Time) until time of services Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Danville, 1225 North Collett Street, Danville, Illinois 61832.
