Ronald M." Buck" Fogleman, 81, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville. He was born on August 4, 1939, the son of Lee and Virginia (Welker) Fogleman in Crooked Creek Township in Cumberland County, IL.
Ron leaves behind his wife of 21 years, Olga (Gerasimova) Fogleman; children, Timothy Fogleman, Scott (Jeri) Davis, Adrienne (Richard) Longoria, Jodi Davis, Kenneth (Maria) Cox, Kelly (Scott) Hendren, Yuri Panzhin; siblings, Linda Cannon, Luanne Jarvis, John (Dotsy) Fogleman, and Millie (Mike) Wilson; as well as several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Preceding Ron in death are his parents; grandson, Mathew Wheeler; and nephew, Scottie Bell.
Ron graduated from Westville High School in 1957 where he was an honor roll student and standout athlete, lettering in three sports including the '56-'57 boys basketball county championship team. After high school he attended Utterback-Brown Business School prior to serving his Country as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. After his military service, Ron had a long and successful career in the transportation industry, as an office manager and terminal manager for several local companies, retiring from USF Holland in Danville in 1998.
Ron was a man who loved his country and his St. Louis Cardinals. But mostly he loved his family. And he had a broad sense of 'family', not defining it by DNA. He was a devoted husband and father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was loved by many and there are a lot of people and one dog, Choli, struggling with the loss. His passing leaves a hole that will not be filled.
