Ronald Duane James, Jr., 57, of Catlin, passed away at 7:43am, Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Presence USMC, Danville. He was born on March 30, 1959, in Danville, IL, the son of Ronald Duane James, Sr. and Henrietta {Dieu} James-Delp. Ronald was a Microbiologist and worked for Zimmer in Warsaw, Indiana. He enjoyed painting landscapes and working in his garden. He also loved to do research into genealogy. Ronald was well-read and was known to love spending time with his nieces & nephews. He was a caring person who volunteered with Big Brothers & Big Sisters and was a foster parent. He will be dearly missed by: his Mother, Henrietta (Bill) Delp of Westville; his best-best friend, Cathy Lete of Westville; his sisters, Angel James of Nashville, TN, and Tresa (Dan) Wilcox of Chatham, IL; his niece, Kaileigh (Russell) Dunn; his nephew, Collin James Wilcox and his niece, Erin Wilcox; and many other loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Sr. and his grandparents. A celebration of Ronald's life will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State St, Westville, with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating. Visitation will be held 5pm-8pm, Friday, March 31, 2017, at the funeral home in Westville. He will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park, Danville. Memorial donations may be given in his name to Vermilion County Animal Shelter and the American Diabetes Association.
