Ronald Edward Bryson, 65, of Rantoul Illinois, passed away at his home on April 8th, 2026. Ron was born on April 17, 1960, to Kenneth and Berniece Bryson in Topeka, Kansas. He proudly served in the United States Army as a mechanic, which he enjoyed very much. He retired from the University of Illinois in 2019. Ron made many lifelong friends there who he admired. His hobbies included camping, fishing, working on cars and irritating his wife.

His memory will live on in the loving hearts of his wife, Pamela Bryson, daughter Kristina Stevens (Chris Stevens), granddaughter Makenna Stevens, mother, Berniece Bryson and brother Barney Bryson. He will be remembered as caring, kind, loyal, and jovial.

A Memorial Service will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center’s Champaign Chapel 710 N. Neil St. Champaign, IL. 61820 on Thursday April 23rd from 3pm-5pm. A private funeral service will be held on Friday April 24th.
