A much-loved father, grandfather, brother, and friend Ron Sengenberger, 68, of Danville, passed away on March 26, 2015 at West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, IL. He was born on August 25, 1946 in Beacon, NY, the son of Oakley and Catherine Sengenberger. Ron will be deeply missed by his son Robert (Vanessa) Warsaw-Sengenberger of Forest Park, IL, his sister Janice (Dave) Badgley of Kannapolis, NC, his brother Charles (Jan) Sengenberger of Hopewell Junction, NY, and only grandchild; Noah Warsaw-Sengenberger along with many other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and nephew, Scott Badgely. Ron was a veteran of the US Air Force and a graduate from Eastern Illinois University. Before retiring from The Illinois Department of Children and Family services of Danville in 2005, Ron served as a County Probation Officer and Superintendent for the CCYDC in Champaign. He was also an educator. Ron was passionate about helping all people - adults, children, and adolescents. He truly believed that everyone was unique with their own past, abilities, and personalities. Ron devoted his career to helping countless families and children. Ron had a great love for reading, fishing, camping, and spending time with his son and grandson. His family will remember his integrity, kind heart, loyalty, compassion, friendship and sense of humor. A visitation to celebrate Rons life will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville.
