Danville - Ron E. Neufeld, 79, of Danville, IL passed peacefully to his heavenly home on Thursday, June 25, 2026. He was born the son of Rev. Edward Neufeld and Lydia (Becker) Neufeld on June 22, 1947, in Viborg, South Dakota. They precede him in death. Also preceding Ron in death include his three brothers, Bobby Neufeld, Les Neufeld, and Richard Neufeld.

Ron was an active member of Danville First Church of the Nazarene where he spent many years as a Sunday School teacher, finance chair of the church board, and a member of the church choir. During his years in Decatur, IL Ron actively served at Decatur First Church of the Nazarene. Of his many years in Danville, he spent a lot of time working with Habitat for Humanity and served on the board for the Women’s Care Clinic. Ron loved God, his church, his family, his friends, and his community. He was hardworking, loyal, loving, and hilarious. He enjoyed watching sports, being on his boat, and spending time with his family and friends. Ron loved tending to his beautiful flowers and he loved decorating for Christmas. But above all, his desire was for the people around him to know and love God. He used his love of the boat to reach out and build relationships with others. Ron was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.
