Roma Buese

Roma Buese, 84, of Champaign, IL, formerly of Danville, passed away at 10:53 AM on February 12, 2025 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

Roma was born on April 19, 1940 the daughter of Jerome and Grace (Alcorn) Dicken. She married Bernard Buese on December 31, 1977 in Champaign, IL and he preceded her in death on August 16, 2006.

Survivors include her sons, Scott (Julie) Powell of Covington, IN, Mark (Diana) Powell of Covington, IN and Michael (Mary) Powell of Covington, IN, nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, as well as one sister, Bobbie Craig of Taylorville, IL and several nieces and nephews.

Roma is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bernard Buese and two siblings, Geraldine Hix and Carol Dicken.

Roma was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Champaign and enjoyed spending her free time bowling and was a member of the WIBC.

As per Roma’s wishes, Cremation Rites will be accorded and a Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery 818 Wendt Avenue, Danville, Illinois 61832. Father Narcis Katambe will officiate.
