Danville - Rollin A. Duckwitz, 48, of Danville passed away at 3:36 AM on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born on August 27, 1966 in Vandalia, IL to Rollin A. and Charlotte Marie (Nelson) Duckwitz. He is survived by his father, Rollin (Pat) Duckwitz of Lehigh Acres, FL; four sisters, Trina Scott of Danville, Melody Rugbart of Olympia, WA, Cindy (Shane) Austin of Altamont, IL, and Chris (Joe) Cripe of Altamont, IL; a brother, Gary Mey of FL; nieces and nephews, Sienna, Spencer, and Taylor Scott, Casey Dunn, and Jake and Jonny Ashby; and his partner, Tony Buser of Houston, TX. He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte; and grandparents, Herb and Hilda Duckwitz and Tom and Dorthea Nelson. Rollin was most recently employed at KIK Custom Products in Danville as a Mezz Operator. He enjoyed working there with his many friends and acquaintances. Rollin had also worked at Wendys in Champaign, and several bars/restaurants in Effingham, IL. He loved cooking and spending time outdoors at bonfires. Rollin especially loved to spend time with his friends and family. Per Rollins wishes, there will be no services. Cremation rites will be accorded by Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Memorials in his name may be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund in Altamont, IL, 62411.
