Roger W. Armstrong

Roger W. Armstrong, 81, of Ogden passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023. He was born on May 2, 1941, the son of George W. and Velma Armstrong.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife of 58 years, Diana S. Armstrong.

He is survived by his children, Roger Armstrong, Beth Russell, Colleen Blackburn, Valerie Armstrong, Raechel Pieper, 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include brothers Jerry Armstrong, Jim Armstrong, and brother-in-law, Chuck Adams.

Roger proudly served in the United States Army, where he was honorably discharged. He then worked for Illinois Power Company for many years before retiring. Roger enjoyed gambling, watching tv and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.

In honor of Rogers wishes the family has called upon the care of Sunset Funeral Home and cremation Center in Champaign, IL to follow through with his cremation. A Celebration of Rogers life will be held at a later date.
