Danville Roger Spike, 80, of Danville passed away on June 18, 2021 at his home in Danville, IL.

Roger was born on August 26,1940, in Chicago, IL, the son of Carl and Edna (Hill) Spike. He married Lorraine V. Pudlo on April 11,1964.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Spike of Danville, two sons, Allan (Kathryn) Spike of Rochester Hills, MI, and Brian (Lisa) Spike of Streamwood, IL, one daughter, Deanne (Jonathon) Clapp of Danville, IL, eight grandchildren, Alexander, Patrick, Kevin, Brianna, Abigail, Emma, Natalie and Mason, as well as three brothers, Ron Spike, Ed Jacobs and Bob Jacobs.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Christine Laura Spike, his brothers LeRoy Spike, Russell (Sally) Spike and Louis Jacobs and also Lela Wallace.

Roger was a retired electrician from IBEW local 134 and enjoyed watching his grandkids' sporting events and working on his computer. He was an amateur videographer and liked to travel to Arizona and Colorado. In his early years, he enjoyed golfing with his Alumni Golf League, bowling, playing cards, and meeting for coffee with friends.

Visitation will be July 17th at 9:30am at St. Emily Catholic Church,1400 E. Central Road in Mt. Prospect, IL with a Mass following at 10:30am. Father Lyon will officiate. A celebration lunch will follow the mass at Francesca's in Arlington Heights (208 S. Arlington Heights Rd.).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be contributed in Rogers memory to the American Cancer Society.
