Roger Lucas

Roger Lucas, 81 of Danville, passed away at 2:45pm on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Provena USMC. He was born on June 20, 1929 in Maywood, IL, the son of Frank and Verbal (Rice) Lucas. On December 14, 1972, Roger married Wanda Morgan in Chicago, IL. She survives along with three children; Scott Lucas, John Powell, and Lauren Meyer. He is also survived by his sister; Janet Banworth. His parents, one brother, and one sister preceded Roger in death. He was in the United States Marine Corps during the end of the Korean War, and served his country proud. He will be missed by his family, and friends. Cremation rites have been offered under the direct supervision of Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, located at 3940 N.
