Roger Alan Lange, 48, a loving father, son, brother and friend to everyone he met, passed away Tuesday April 22nd, 2025 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign, IL.
Roger was born November 7th, 1976, in Princeton, IL, to Glen Lange and Carol Lange (Swearingen). Roger would go on to meet Vicky Allison (Boaz) in 2000, the love of his life who he created a beautiful family with. This is when he would meet his son, Austin Thomas, and experience his first taste of fatherhood. Roger stepped into that role for Austin when he was a toddler. Roger and Vicky would then welcome two baby girls, Alyssa and Autumn, into this world. He would often call them his baby girls, his monkeys, his dogs, his munchkins, etc. While Roger and Vicky’s marriage was not perfect, they still loved each other very much, put their kids first no matter what and shared a beautiful relationship for 16 years. Austin, Alyssa and Autumn were Roger’s whole world. Outside of being the best dad in the world, he was a loving son, supportive brother, the coolest uncle and the best friend you could ask for.
Roger loved spending quality time with his family. He would love to play board games, including Solitaire Frenzy, enjoy dinners with his kids, sharing a drink and having a good time with friends and weekend trips back home to visit his parents/siblings. Some of his favorite things included being outdoors such as fishing, going for rides, especially when he got to take his dog Sophie with him. He also enjoyed listening to all kinds of music ranging from Classic Country to Hip-Hop, he was always the life of the party, you would always see him singing, dancing and having a good time. He spent most of his adult life helping people in various forms such as being a paramedic and a firefighter. These jobs allowed him to make a huge impact on many lives, all while fulfilling his desires to help others. These careers are what led him to the many friends who became more like family over the years. His final occupation was a Truck Driver for Church Farms and harvest was his favorite time of the year. The farm was home for him and through all the long hours, he created such precious memories with his farm family.
Roger was preceded in death by his siblings; Susan Lange, Bryan Lange and Glenn Lange and his grandbaby.
He is survived by his children: Austin Thomas, Alyssa Lange (Dylan Taylor), Autumn Lange (Kole Quick); his parents: Glen and Carol Lange; his siblings: Jennifer (Greg) Domaszewicz, Rodney (Tammy) Lange, Roxanne (James) Pressy, Kevin Lange; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
