Roger K. Farnum

Roger K. Farnum, 60, of Muncie, IL, passed away at 2:35 PM on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at VA Iliana Healthcare System in the Palliative Care Unit in Danville. Roger was born on December 15, 1951 in Danville the son of James L. and Evelyn M. (DeFour) Farnum. He is survived by one daughter- Erin (Brian) Bailey of Sidney, one son- Bryan McNear of Westville, two brothers- Russell Farnum of Muncie and Emile Farnum of Fresno, CA and three grandchildren, Mr. Farnum's life-long friend Roberta McNear McKee of Sidney, one niece- Kelly Farnum of Fithian and two nephews- Kevin Farnum of Urbana and Kyle Farnum of Muncie. Also, many more nieces and nephews from California. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. Roger attended Oakwood High School and served in the United States Army from January of 1971 to April of 1973. He worked for Brewer Chevrolet in Homer, IL and later engaged in farming. A graveside service will be held at Songer Cemetery in Tilton at 10:00 AM on March 13, 2012 with Pastor Dave Garver officiating. Memorials can be made in Roger's name to the American Cancer Society.
