Rodger Sprague

Rodger D. Sprague, 65, of Oakwood passed away with his wife Cheryl by his side in his home on Sunday January 18, 2015. Rodger was born in Danville the son of James and Delores (Neuman) Sprague. He married Cheryl on October 30, 1970 in Decatur she survives. Also surviving Rodger is his mother Delores; one son, Andrew Sprague of Champaign; one daughter Marybeth Sprague of Danville; two grandsons Devin and JJ Miles sons of Marybeth; Rodgers mother in law Margie Yoder of Decatur and brother in law Mike Yoder of Springfield. Rodger was preceded in death by his father James, two brothers Steve and Phil and his grandparents. Rodger was a Graduate of Oakwood High School and attended Eastern Illinois and Southern Illinois. He was retired and enjoyed gardening and watching any kind of sport. Rodger was in the Marine Corp during that time he played on the football team. Rodger was a very giving man always giving to his family and friends. A Celebration of Rodgers life will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center on Friday January 23, 2015at 11:00 am. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 am until the time of service.
