Roberta Thompson

DANVILLE Roberta Thompson, 84, passed away on July 14, 2022 at home in Danville. She was born in Danville to Jasper and Wilma (Lee) Berry on June 27, 1938. Roberta married Robert Thompson on Dec. 22, 1962, in Georgetown. She precedes him in death.

She is survived by her sons, Micheal G. (Kathy) Walker of Danville and Bob Thompson Jr. of Danville; daughter, Janet (Brad) Constans of Planfield, Ind; grandchildren, Rachel A. (Clayton) WalKaufson of Normal, Allen (Ashley) Walker of Dixon, Ill., Morgan (Josh) Spiering of Danville, Lexington Spiering of Danville, Bryer Constans and Tyler Constans of Indiana, Jerrica (Chadd) Snyder of Mahomet; great-grandchildren, Elysia Spiering, Delilah Walker and Emmitt Snyder and Iann Snyder; son-in-law, Tim Spiering of Danville. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jasper Berry Jr.; daughter, Cathy Spiering; son, Greg Walker; and granddaughter, Ciera Spiering.

Roberta loved to play bunco and spend time with her family. She could be found downstairs quite frequently in her scrapbooking room or making various different blankets.

Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park on Tuesday July 19, 2022 at 11 am. Pastor Kent Tibben will preside. Memorials may be made in Roberta's name to Danville American Legion or American Diabetes Association.
