Roberta Jean Martin-McNeill, 91, of Georgetown, passed away at 6:22pm, Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home, Danville, surrounded by all her loving family. She was born February 25, 1926, in Georgetown the daughter of Roy & Mary {Miller} Pollman. She was united in marriage to Donald Martin in Georgetown until his passing on January 25, 1988. She was later wed to Gerald Jerry' McNeill on February 12, 1993, at Georgetown United Methodist Church until his passing on January 22, 2004. She will be dearly missed by: her children, Robert (Janet) Martin of Georgetown, Donna (Vince) Passalacqua of Arizona, Phyllis (Mike) Bell of Missouri, Mary Hale of Georgetown, Jewel Martin-Lorenzo of Indiana, Janet (Greg) Myers of Georgetown, John (Judy) Martin of Georgetown, Kristi (John) Walker of Indiana, & Neill McNeill of Danville; her brother, Robert Pollman of North Dakota; her 33 grandchildren; her 51 great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her brothers Ralph & Richard Pollman and her granddaughter, Nicole Bell. During her lifetime, she raised her large family and together with her husband, Don, started a business, Martin Plumbing, Heating, & Air Conditioning in Georgetown of which they owned and operated up until his passing. She was the strength behind the business and was a keen businesswoman. She devoted her life to raising her children, grandchildren, & great grandchildren. She was known to her grandkids for her supply of "Sunny-D" in the refrigerator. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Georgetown and the Women's Legion Auxiliary of Georgetown. She will be truly missed by all who loved her. A celebration of Roberta's life will be held at 5:00pm, Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown, IL, with Pastor Matt Filicsky officiating. Visitation for family & friends will be held 3:00pm to 5:00pm on Saturday prior to her service at the funeral home. As per her wishes, she will be cremated and later laid to rest in Danville National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given in Roberta's name to United Methodist Church of Georgetown.
