Roberta A. Pettigrew

Roberta A. Pettigrew, 68, of Westville, passed away at 7:43am, Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at Provena USMC, Danville. She was born on July 22, 1940, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Joseph and Blanche (Reffett) Delfosse, both deceased. On August 22, 1959, she wed John Pettigrew Jr. in Danville, IL. He passed away in 1995. She was preceded in death by: her brother, Joseph Jr.; and her special companion of 7 years, Rick Carico Sr. Those who will miss her include: her children, Mark (Shelli) Pettigrew of Westville, Vickie (Pat) Burch of Frankfort, IL, Becky (John) Parker of Westville, & Cindy (Chuck) DeBarba of Westville; her grandchildren, Bailey Kindig, Brandon Pettigrew, Kellie Burch, Autumn Pettigrew, Breanna Bailey, Chloe Burch, Shawna Blakeney, Sara Tiffen, Zack Easter, Andy Burch, Joshua Parker, & Jaiona Parker; her six great grandchildren; and special long-time friend, Billy Wright of Westville. She will also be missed by her beloved dog, Mo. Roberta enjoyed completing word search puzzles and Sudoko puzzles. She liked going to garage sales, as well as, collecting frogs. She really cherished her time spent with her family, especially all of her grandkids. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am Saturday March 28, 2009 at the Second Church of Christ 3350 E. Voorhees St. Danville, Il. Drew Mentzer will officiate. As per her wishes, she will be cremated. She will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery. Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel of Westville in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions can be Given to the Vermilion County Animal Shelter of Tilton or the American Cancer Society.
