Robert Watson

Robert Bob Watson, 45, of Rossville, died at 6:38 pm on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at VA Illiana Health Care System in Danville. He was born on December 18, 1959 in Danville. He was married to Sharon Lawson on August 30, 1991 in Hoopeston. She survives. Robert is also survived by two sons: Elijah Watson age 7 and Ryley Watson age 5 of the home, and two step children: Brianne Howell age 26 and Ian Reed age 25 of Rossville. Robert had 15 years service as a Fire Controlmen 1st class. He traveled all over the world during his military career. He earned the Military Excellence Award in 1991 and received numerous honors and commendations throughout his career. He was a plank owner of three ships he commissioned all of which where home ported in Hawaii. His hobbies included 15 years of Akido and he was an avid reader. Robert enjoyed a close relationship with his sister Judy Watson and childhood friend, Todd Hinkle. His ashes will be interred at a later date. Memorials may be made in Roberts name to the ALS Foundation at 115 North Neil Street Suite 100 Champaign, IL 61820.
