Robert Starkey

Robert Bob Lee Starkey, 54, of Tilton, passed away at 3:23 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2007 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. Bob was born on February 6, 1953 in Danville, Illinois, the son of William Bill E. and Jean (Sherman) Starkey Sr. He is survived by his mother- Jean Starkey of Tilton; one sister- Linda (Larry) Deeken of Columbus, Ohio; one very special nephew- Josh Arment of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his father- Bill Starkey Sr.; one brother- Bill Starkey Jr.; maternal grandparents- Fred and Grace Sherman; and paternal grandparents- Rolland and Doris Starkey. Bob graduated from Danville High School in 1971. He worked at Tee Pak and Trozel Industries. Bob attended Bowman Avenue Methodist Church as a younger man. Bob loved to play euchre, watch movies, and he loved motorcycles. Bob enjoyed being close to home. A Celebration of the Life of Robert Bob Lee Starkey will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 " 3:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Springhill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the donors choice.
