Robert Reardon

Robert Bob J. Reardon, 88, of Danville passed away 6:55 p.m., Thursday, August 14, 2008, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana following a lengthy illness. Robert was born September 15, 1919, in Hoopeston, Illinois, the son of Danny and Velma (Shain) Reardon. He married Emma E (Pichon) Cottle on October 2, 1976 in Bismarck. She survives along with their children: Rhoda Odom of Rusk, TX, Denny (Linda) Reardon of Homer, IL, John Reardon of Penfield, IL, Joni Isaksen of Urbana, IL, Merrilee Andel of Urbana, IL, Mike (Linda) Cottle, Nancy (Vic) McFadden, Larry (Becky) Cottle all of Danville, IL., Jim (Cindy) Cottle of Tayler, TX, Dan (Mary) Cottle of Foster, IN., Lori (Mike) Osborn of Manor TX, Kim (Darrell) Murheid of Omaha NE; A brother, Dick (Ruthanne) Reardon of Potomac, IL : thirty-five grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Murl of Long Beach, CA. Robert was a member of the local #269 Carpenters Union for 36 years. He was a proud carpenter and built beautiful furniture. Robert loved country music. He was a man with a great sense of humor. Robert was a loving and caring man who will be deeply missed by his family. A celebration Roberts life will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, August 18, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St, Danville, IL. with Randy Chandler officiating. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, August 17, 2008, at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St, Danville, IL. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Potomac Cemetery in Potomac, IL. Memorials may be made in Roberts name to the donors choice.
