Robert Rauch

Robert Rauch of Rantoul, IL. passed away on September 15, 2026, at the age of 90.

Born on November 29, 1935, in Huron, South Dakota, Robert lived a life marked by service, loyalty, and the simple pleasures that brought him joy. He served in both the United States Navy and the United States Air Force, a reflection of his dedication and commitment to his country.

Robert will be remembered for the things he loved most in everyday life. He enjoyed gardening and bowling, and he was a devoted Chicago Cubs fan. More than anything, he cherished spending time with family and friends, and those moments will remain a lasting part of how he is remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Kohl, Roberta Fischer, son, Robert Rauch Jr., grandchildren, Tony Collins, Bobbie Jean Miles, April Hadden and Michael Hadden. Great grandchildren, Ava, Trent, Austin, Gavin and Elisa. 

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Rauch and Mildred Hawver, brother Eugene Hildebrand and sister Darlene Hammer.

Robert Rauch’s life was one of service, warmth, and steadfast enjoyment of the people and pastimes he held dear. He will be remembered with respect and affection.
