Robert Osborne

Robert W. Osborne, 70, of Danville, passed away with family by his side on March 12,2016 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Bob was born June 23, 1945 in Danville the son of Charles and Virginia (Weir) Osborne. He married Ruth Lane on November 29,1972 in Danville, she survives. Also surviving Bob are two daughters Hope (Michael) Garrett and Melissa Osborne, four grandchildren; Tierra, Danielle, Emily and Vincent, one brother Greg (Becky) Osborne Sr. and one sister Donna (Bob) Wilkerson. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Phillip Osborne. Bob served in the Army during the Vietnam War. After returning home Bob was employed at Tee Pack for forty years until he retired. He enjoyed riding his Harley and bowling having once earned an eight hundred series of which he was very proud. In his younger years Bob received his thirty-second degree Masonic right. Bob loved having coffee in the morning lately drinking it with friends at the County Market. He could also be found eating ice cream at the Dairy Barn. A celebration of Bobs life will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center on Wednesday March 16, 2016 at 11 AM. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday March 15, 2016 from 4-7 PM. Entombment will follow the celebration at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials can be made in his honor to the Danville V.A. Hospital (recreation department or volunteer clothing room) or Relay For Life of Vermilion County.
