Robert Mitchell

Robert Mitchell, 68, of Potomac, IL passed away at his home on Saturday, January 25, 2025.

Robert was born on June 23, 1956 to Donald and Josephine (Porcheddu) Mitchell. He married Theresa Austin on May 14, 2021 and she preceded him in death on May 15, 2024.

Robert leaves behind his son, Clint Mitchell, his stepdaughter, Megan Bugg and stepson, Paul Brown, and step grandchildren, Jack, Abi and Robbie. He also leaves behind his sisters and brothers-in-law, Pam Baird, Diana and Dave Winn and Janice and Rocky Young and Patti Mitchell.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Theresa Mitchell and his sister, Karen Petkovich and brother-in-law, Dave Baird.

Robert retired as a Sergeant from the Illinois Department of Corrections. His passion was the great outdoors. Whether it be hunting deer, turkey or pheasants, going fishing, taking part in marksmanship activities or ripping down the road on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
