Robert Lloyd Martin

Robert Lloyd Martin, 46, of Georgetown, IL passed away at his home on May 15, 2026 at 4:49 PM.

Robert was born on December 17, 1979 the son of Robert and Susan (Nightengale) Martin in Oakland, CA. He married Jaimee Lynn Wyer on May 29, 1999 in Olivet, IL and she survives.

Survivors include his father, Robert Martin of Georgetown, IL, his wife, Jaimee Lynn Martin of Georgetown, IL, his children, Robert James Martin of St. Louis, MO, Hope Martin of Catlin, IL, Anna Martin of Georgetown, IL and Ethan Martin of Catlin, IL.

Robert is preceded in death by his mother.

Robert served in the United States Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman First Class and retired after 20 years of service to his country. He enjoyed his Earl Grey tea, learning to play his guitar, reading books about history and restoring old tools and collecting antiques. Robert also enjoyed fishing and gardening, collecting baseball and football trading cards and loved his dogs, especially his three cattle dogs.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Miles Clark will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 9-10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at the funeral home in Danville, IL.
