Robert L. Winland

Robert L. Winland, 86, passed away at 10:39 am on Thursday November 22, 2018. Bob was born on October 27, 1932 the son of Lester and Thelma Winland. On November 19, 1961 Bob married the love of his life Geraldine Pettigrew for 55 years. Bob is survived by his sons, Stuart (Michelle) Winland and Stephen Winland as well as grandchildren, Amanda (Mark) Miller. Brittany Murphy Winland. Sara (Brandon) Crawford. Bob is preceded in death by his Parents, Wife Geraldine, Daughter Stephanie Jane Winland and Brother Russ Winland. Bob graduated from Danville High School in 1950. also a Veteran of the Korean War serving as Chief of Radio operations aboard the USS Samuel B. Robert Naval Vessel. In 1976 Bob was a founder of Dyna-Fab Corporation. He was integral in designing Arerospace and Military projects as well as components for Electrical Generation Multi-Stage Steam / Gas Turbines. He constructed his own houseboat where he lived for 8 years and in his spare time enjoyed boating, fishing, building projects. Bob loved spending time with his wife Geraldine and dog Rocky as well as the rest of his family. He was a very kind man and will be deeply missed by all who have met him. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2pm EST on Wednesday November 28, 2018 at Sunset's Covington Chapel 420 3 rd St. Covington IN. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30pm to 2pm at the funeral home.
