Robert H. Krapf, age 84, of Danville passed away at 9:15 am on Friday, November 03, 2006 at North Logan Health Care in Danville. He was born August 17, 1922 in West Hazelton, PA the son of Harry and Olive (Framton) Krapf. He was formerly married to Jaclyn (Mulholland) Krapf. Robert is survived by three sons: John (Blair) Krapf of Homewood, IL, Ken Krapf of Valparaiso, IN, Alan (Cindy) Krapf of Danville; and three grandchildren: Lauren Krapf of Homewood, IL, Brittany Krapf of Byron, IL, and Scott Krapf of Danville. He was preceded in death by his parents. Robert served in the United States Army during WWII in General George Pattons Intelligence Division. Upon his return he attended and graduated from The St. Louis Institute of Music. He was Band Director at Jamaica High School from 1959 to 1985 where the students knew him as Sugar Bear. Robert was a member of the Golden K Kiwanis. He loved music, tennis and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
