Robert K. Weidenburner, 81, of Danville passed away on July 4, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Robert was born the son of Robert E. and Lottie (Williamson) Weidenburner in Danville. Robert married Nancy Hewson on May 7, 1967, she was the love of his life and together they had six children, Kathy (Greg) Pulley of Honeapath, SC., Maggie (Dave) Haase of Ridgefarm, Robert E. (Penny) Weidenburner of Westville, Michael (Sheri) Weidenburner of Ogden, Ray Weidenburner of Carterville and Rod (Maria) Weidenburner of Fairmount; seventeen grandchildren Jason and Michael Cunningham, Nicki Haase, Marlena Rhoden, Skyler, Charles, Sarah, Tanaya, Tyler, Aaron, Jennifer, Eddie, Jedeiah and Winnifred Weidenburner, Carlos Castillo, Gustavo and Alexis Zuniga; Justin Weidenburner and fifteen other great grandchildren; two sisters Nancy (Blynn) English and Barbara (Loren) Moffitt; one brother Max Weidenburner. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Janie Riggs and Janet English. Robert was proud to serve his country during the Korean War and was a member of the United States Navy for four years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 210 and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Robert enjoyed working on things from cars to motorcycles and anything between. He enjoyed working in the yard as well and would help anyone with anything. Most of all Robert loved the time he spent with his family and friends. A Celebration of Robert's Life will be held on Wednesday July 8, 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church on Georgetown Road in Tilton at 11:00 am. with a visitation one hour prior. Pastor Scott McCurdy will officiate. Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Park. Military rights given by American Legion Post 210.
