Robert Hodshire Robert Hodshire, 76, of Danville passed from this life at 2:25 p.m. on Sunday, October 22, 2006. Robert was born on September 8, 1930 near Belleville, IN, but lived the formative years of his life, 1943-1953, near Advance, IN on a farm. He became a Christian at the age of 13 years. He became a preacher of the gospel, having attended Minnesota Bible College and graduated from Lincoln Christian College in 1958. Robert preached both full time and part time for many years. He served as preaching minister at Cheneyville Church of Christ and most recently at Coal Branch Independent Church. Robert was also employed at the Chuckles Candy Company for almost 16 years and worked at Mike & Teresas Flower Market for 4 years. Robert became the husband of Ruth Mullen Hodshire on June 14, 1953. She survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Carole Jean (Charles) Mitchell of Mooresville, IN; a son, Philip (Rhonda) Hodshire of Danville and grandchildren, Ernie Robert Mitchell, Amanda, Tyler and Caleb Hodshire. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, two brothers, and two sisters. Robert was a friend to the common person, as well as the gifted. He constantly reminded people to plan for the future, as well as the present, in a spiritual way. Robert will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A celebration of Roberts life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center with D. Thomas Hendrickson and Kevin Ziegler officiating.
