Robert Haurez

Robert G. Haurez, 81, passed away with family by his side on December 21, 2016 at Seymour Crossing Nursing Home. Robert was born the son of Charles and Leah (Limauge) Haurez on October 12, 1935 in Hillery, IL. Robert married the love of his life Phyllis Dahquist on June 24, 1967 in Hilmar, CA. She survives. Robert also leaves behind one son, Randall (Deseree) Haurez, one grandson, Coleman Haurez. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Richard. Robert was active in the United States National Guard from 1958 until 1964. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Danville. He worked for over forty years at ESCO. Robert loved to be out in his yard doing yard work, or mowing. He also enjoyed keeping his bird feeders full and watching the different birds that came and ate from the feeders. Robert was an avid Illini Basketball fan. A celebration of Robert's life will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion in Danville on Monday December 26, 2016 at 11am with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will take place following at Oak Hill cemetery.
