Robert Fletcher

Robert F. Fletcher, 73, of Danville, IL passed away September 20, 2006 at his residence. He was born on October 31, 1932 in Ottumwa, IA son of William Frank and Ruby Sponsler Fletcher. He married Charlene J. Van Cleave on November 18, 1956 in Blakesburg, IA. She survives along with their daughters: Marla Flynn (Kevin) of Danville, Julie Fletcher of St. Louis, MO, and Janice Vietor (Michael) of Ballwin, MO. Sister: Roberta Collier (Floyd Jack) of Desloge, MO. Five grandchildren; Elissa Flynn of Durham, NC, Justin Flynn of Danville, IL, Alexandra Vietor, Olivia Vietor, and Sophia Vietor all of Ballwin, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Charlene Goode. Robert was a graduate of the University of Iowa. He retired from Frank Paxton Lumber in Des Moines, IA where he worked in building material sales. He was a member of the Ridgeview Baptist Church. A Celebration of Roberts life will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, September 23, 2006 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Danville, with Pastors Mark Keyser & Dave Garver officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Friday evening at the funeral Home. Burial will be at Shaul cemetery in Ottumwa, IA. Memorials may be made to Ridgeview Baptist Church and/or Carle Hospice.
