TILTON - Robert Pratt, Sr., 79, of Tilton, IL, died Monday June 15, 2015 at home at 7:10 AM. Robert was born January 24, 1936 to the late Sam and Ruth Pratt. Robert married Rose Pratt August 25, 1953 in Veedersburg, IN; she preceded him in death October 20, 2004. He is survived by 4 daughters; Robyn (John) Duprey of Danville, IL , Rhonda (David) Phillips of Tilton, IL, Dana (Brian) Phillips of Georgetown, IL , Jennifer (Brian) Noel Thereon Bell of Danville, IL; 8 sons, Robert Pratt, Jr, of Alvin, IL, Kenneth (Belinda) Pratt of Alvin, IL, Mike (Kathy) Pratt of Danville, IL, Keith (Angela Pankey) Pratt of Danville, IL, Ruston (Lisa) Pratt of Florida, Scott (Tammy) Pratt of Ridge Farm, IL, Leighton (Pam) Pratt of Alabama, Brandon (Melissa) Pratt of Westville, IL; one brother, Sammy (Peggy) Pratt of Hoopeston, IL; 72 grandchildren, 101 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Jack, Gene and Randy Pratt; 2 sisters, Louise Acree and Judy Pelser; one daughter, Dorothy Acord; 3 grandchildren, Christopher Duprey, Travis Bostwick, Kennedy Pratt, and a great-grandchild, Briar Pratt. Robert retired from Peterson-Puritan/KIK in 2006. He loved racecars, fishing, most of all spending time with grandkids, football games were special to him. Robert had a special sidekick, Logan Noel, he was more than just a grandchild; Logan was his number 1 caregiver and best friend, they grew close. He had a special daughter, Jennifer, who spent lots of time with him, who cared for him and a granddaughter, Shonna Jackson, who was his nurse at home during his illness; a best friend, Effrain (Migo) Carrillo, and special friend, Carol Cornell. A special thanks to all of his doctors and nurses for his time of need. Memorials may be made in Robert's name to The Cancer Society. A celebration of Robert's life will be held 10 AM Saturday June 20, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville.
