Danville - Robert E. Mariage, Jr., 59, of Danville passed away at home on February 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM. Robert was born on February 8, 1958 the son of Robert E. and Joyce (Pollitt) Mariage in Danville, IL. Survivors include his parents, Robert and Joyce Mariage of Danville, IL one sister Debbie Witt of Danville, IL and one niece, Amanda (Micah) Schnepel of Danville, IL. He is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and a special friend, Linda Oakley. Robert was a 1976 Graduate of Oakwood High School and was employed as a Drywall Finisher with Treat Drywall in Urbana and later worked for Bullock Garages in Danville. Robert was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and Bears teams as well as the Illini. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday February 27, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville, IL with Pastor Allan Rudie officiating. Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery in Oakwood, IL. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Faith Baptist Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
