Robert E. Barr

Lodi, Ind. - Robert E. Barr, 72, of Lodi, passed away at 7:30 a.m. EST Monday, February 3, 2020 at his residence.

He was born August 24, 1947 in Cayuga, Indiana, the son of the late Norman L. and Mary E. (McDaniel) Barr.

He married Carol J. McMurtrey on November 25, 1964 in Covington, Indiana. She survives.

Other survivors include: three sons: David (Julie) Barr of Catlin, Illinois; Darren (Mary) Barr of Danville, Illinois and Todd Barr of Lodi, Indiana; four grandchildren: Kenzie, Korrisa, Nickolas and Reighan; five great grandchildren, and his brother: Donald (Sue) Barr of Danville, Illinois

He was preceded in death by his sister: Grace Swaim, and brother: Richard Barr.

Robert retired from General Motors in Tilton, Illinois. he was a member of the Waterman Baptist Church in Lodi, Indiana. Robert enjoyed working on puzzles, his yard, reading, riding his motorcycle, collecting miniature cars and taking trips to Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Funeral service: 2 p.m. EST Saturday, February 8, 2020 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana: Officiating: Pastor William Lehman and Pastor John Goldfuss; Burial: Eugene Cemetery in Eugene, Indiana; Visitation: Saturday, February 8, 2019 from Noon EST until time of services.
